Custody Transfer Turbine Flow Sensors and Meter

Custody transfer turbine flow sensor with ATEX certification for high-accuracy liquid measurement.

Product Description

The Custody Transfer Turbine Flow Sensor from Broil Sensotek Industries is a high-precision velocity-based liquid flow sensor specifically engineered for custody transfer, fiscal metering, and commercial fluid measurement applications. It operates by converting the rotational speed of a precision turbine rotor into proportional pulse signals, providing highly accurate and repeatable flow measurement for financial transactions involving petroleum products, chemicals, and other high-value process liquids. Designed for hazardous industrial environments, the sensor features ATEX-certified explosion-proof construction with corrosion-resistant materials and hardened turbine components for long service life. The sensor delivers real pulse outputs for direct integration with PLC, DCS, SCADA, batch controllers, and remote monitoring systems, enabling accurate billing, inventory management, and process automation. Its rugged construction ensures dependable operation under demanding process conditions while maintaining excellent long-term measurement stability. The custody transfer turbine flow sensor is available with threaded and flanged process connections and supports operating pressures up to 250 bar with service temperatures from −20°C to +150°C. It offers ±1% linear accuracy, ±0.5% repeatability, and supports industrial communication options including Pulse, 4–20 mA, HART, RS-485, and Alarm outputs. Multiple protection options such as IP65, IP68, Ex d, Ex ia, and ATEX certifications make it suitable for explosive and hazardous locations. Typical applications include petroleum terminals, fuel loading skids, oil & gas facilities, chemical plants, refineries, pharmaceuticals, fuel monitoring, batching systems, and commercial custody transfer installations, where accurate, traceable, and legally compliant flow measurement is essential.
