The Microwave Level Switch from Brotek Instruments is an intelligent point level detection device engineered for reliable monitoring of liquids, solids, powders, slurries, and viscous media. It utilizes advanced frequency sweep microwave technology to detect the presence of material at a predetermined switching point. Unlike conventional level switches, it is unaffected by foam, condensate, residue, conductivity, or material adhesion, making it an ideal solution for demanding industrial applications. The switch incorporates a PEEK sensing element with a hygienic, dead-zone-free design suitable for CIP (Clean-in-Place), WIP (Wash-in-Place), and SIP (Sterilization-in-Place) processes. It is capable of detecting both conductive and non-conductive media with dielectric constants of 1.5 or higher, while offering stable operation in harsh environments. Available with threaded, sanitary, tri-clamp, and flanged process connections, the device supports standard and high-temperature applications up to 200°C with pressure ratings reaching 100 bar. Supporting NO, NC, NPN, PNP, and Relay outputs, the Microwave Level Switch integrates easily with PLC, DCS, and industrial control systems. Certified with SIL-3, CE, Explosion-Proof (Ex d), and IP66/Ex ia protection, it is widely used for high-level alarms, low-level alarms, dry-run protection, leakage detection, interface detection, and hopper or conveyor monitoring across chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, wastewater, mining, and bulk material handling industries.
