Sensewell’s FLP Drive is an advanced Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) engineered specifically for providing precise motor control in the world's most demanding and hazardous industrial environments. Because standard VFDs generate heat and potential electrical arcs, they cannot be deployed in volatile zones. Our FLP Drive solves this by encasing high-performance VFD electronics inside a heavy-duty, CMRI / ATEX / PESO certified Flameproof enclosure (cast aluminum or iron) designed to withstand internal explosions without igniting the surrounding atmosphere. Ideal for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations, the FLP Drive allows operators to safely control the speed and torque of heavy induction and synchronous motors (ranging from 0.5 HP up to 250 HP) in areas where flammable gases, chemical vapors, or combustible dusts are constantly present. The unit features built-in FLP push buttons, digital displays, and comprehensive electrical protections, making it an essential automation component for petrochemical plants, refineries, and distilleries.
