The FLP (Flame Proof) Temperature Sensor is engineered specifically for safe, reliable temperature measurement in highly hazardous and explosive environments. Designed with a blast-evidence enclosure, these sensors are constructed using robust die-cast aluminum heads equipped with heavy-duty mineral protection. Depending on the specific environmental requirements, the enclosures can also be precision-machined from solid metal, SS304, or SS316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. Our standard FLP temperature sensors are rigorously tested and guaranteed flameproof (Ex-d certified) for operations in Gas Groups I, IIA, and IIB. They support a variety of sensor types, including highly accurate RTDs (PT100, PT1000) and versatile Thermocouples (Type K, J, T). The assembly comes complete with a certified flameproof head and specialized FLP cable glands (¾” ET, NPT, or M20) to ensure a fully sealed and secure connection, preventing any internal sparks from igniting external volatile gases.
